Monstera Deliciosa - 8"

The quintessential houseplant, the prime standard in any of our collections, allow us to introduce the Monstera deliciosa. It doesn't matter if you're new to the houseplant game, or if you've been growing for decades; this is a plant you need in your collection.

Monsteras are characterized by their textbook heart-shaped leaves with gaps, or fenestrations, which give them their exotic look. Younger, smaller plants or plants that don't receive enough light or nutrition won't have fenestrations in the leaves, so be sure you're taking good care of your plant!

Care: Your monstera wants enough light to produce it's own energy for it's rapid growth, but not too much light that it burns. We find that bright, indirect light is the best way to go, so a shaded spot outdoors or underneath a grow light indoors is our favorite method. Water when the top 1-2 inches of the soil is dry, and make sure your soil is well-draining. You don't want root rot to claim another victim here. A good feeding once per month with a balanced fertilizer (20-20-20 should be good) or a compost tea will keep your monstera happy.
